Selena looks up from the books she has been reading and notices that
they are nearing London. "Hey Alex, we're almost there." she tells him
and starts putting away her stuff. "I wrote my parents when we're
arriving and my dad will get us up." she grins at her friend. "So you'll
have time to get used to him first before dealing with the rest of my
family." she winks at him.

Alex finishes the last answer of the test and tucks away his book and parchment before facing Selena "Alright, will we go the muggle way or apparate?" he asks. "I don't even know where you live, Sel..." he looks at her in question.

Selena smiles "We live near Cornwall. That's why we apparate, it would
take too long the muggle way." she explains. The train stops and they
quickly make their way out and to the platform.
She looks around for
her father's tall form and spies him coming towards them. "There he is."
she points him out to Alex before rushing over to her father. "Daaaad!"
she falls into his arms and he gives her a hug "Hey, child. Good to
have you back." He steps back and smiles down at her "I'm so proud of
all your achievments this year." His eyes leave hers and travel over her
shoulder to where Alex is waiting.

Alex gets off the train and follows Selena. She's looking around for her father and suddenly points him out. The man is rather tall and has the same black hair and blue eyes as Selena. He looks quite impressive and Alex rather doesn't want to cross him. He watches how her dad welcomes Selena back and feels a bit out of place. Then he notices the dark eyes of the man staring right at him and straightens his back before walking over to introduce himself. "Good day, Sir. My name is Alexander McColl. Nice to meet you." he bows lightly before looking back at the man.

Selena watches Alex introduce himself and waits for her father's
reaction. He looks at her friend for a few seconds, then inclines his
head "Nice to meet you, too, Alex. My daughter told us only the best
about you, I hope you will live up to our expectations. I will not
tolerate insolent behaviour in my home." he says looking straight into
Alex' eyes before pulling out his wand and extending his arm. "Let's go
then, we shouldn't keep you mother waiting."

Alex has to force himself not to shrink back from the look Sel's father is giving him, but manages to hold his eyes. He nods quickly "Yes, Sir, certainly. I will not be trouble." he tells him honestly. "As if I would try to get in trouble with you..." he thinks. He moves closer to Selena and places his hand on her dad's arm, ready to apparate.

Selena has to bite back a smile, as she watches Alex try to hold himself
against her father's gaze. She's impressed that he doesn't even wince
and quickly whispers in his ear before they apparate "See? Wasn't so
bad, for the first time, huh?" she winks at him and they vanish from the
platform.
